Cotton is the best choice for clothing in Africa. This is because the climate is usually dry and the fabric is durable. Cotton is also the best option given the thorny bushes and sharp rocks you will encounter out in the bush.

Clothes for the African bush need not and should not be made of synthetic materials. The clothes do not have to be rainproof either. However, they need to be comfortable, durable, easy to wash and have an earthy colour. The mornings in Africa are often cold and it is convenient to have a warming jacket with you on the adventure. 

We collaborate with the company Jonsson Workwear from South Africa, which supplies clothing to both park rangers, safari operators & lodges in southern Africa. The clothes are made in Africa for the African bush.

Jonsson workwear is a family business that was started and is run by the Jonsson family from the KwaZulu-Natal province in South Africa. The Jonsson family are of Swedish decent, and have been living in South Africa for several generations.
