General Measuring Instructions for Men's Clothing
Remember, when measuring with a tape measure, HOLD THE TAPE MEASUREMENT STEADY AND HORIZONTAL . DO NOT PULL IT HARD.
- Waist (Pants/Shorts): Measure all the way around your natural waist, or where you actually wear your pants. Add a little extra room for movement and to be able to tuck a shirt in.
- Hips (Trousers/Shorts): Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hip (approximately 18 cm - 20 cm below your waist). Remember to keep the tape measure horizontal.
- Inseam: Measure along the inside seam of the garment from the crotch seam to the bottom edge/hem. It's best to measure on an existing pair you like.
- Neck Circumference (Shirts): Measure all the way around the neck. Add a little extra room for comfort.
- Sleeve Length (Shirts): Measure the length of the arm, starting from the center of the neck at the back and ending where the hand meets the wrist.
- Bust (Shirts): Take a breath, hold it, and measure around the upper chest under the arms.
- Back length (Shirts): Measure from the collar seam in the back down to the bottom edge of the hem.
